Boating in Southwest Florida
Living near so many bodies of water, you can imagine that boating is a commonly sought after activity in Southwest Florida. Just in our area alone, we have a number of marinas and boating clubs, each offering a unique service or amenity from the other. With so many options, where do you start?
No worries, we're here to help. We have compiled a list of marinas by area to help you get on the water in no time. The list below is a sample of what's available in each town, but keep in mind it is not all-inclusive.
Cape Coral
Cape Coral Yacht Basin - located on the grounds of the Yacht Club Community Park, features 89 in-water slips for boats up to 55', offering daily, monthly, and annual leases.

Tarpon Point Marina - located in south Cape, alongside waterfront luxury condos. With 216 in water slips and a depth between 8-12', the marina can accommodate boats up to 75'. Tarpon point has a restaurant, boat rentals, and charters as well.

Safe Harbor in Cape Harbour - Tucked in a little further than Tarpon Point, you'll find Safe Harbor Marina, which has a shallower draft clearance of 5.6'. The marina offers wet slips, dry storage, boat rentals and more.

Fort Myers Beach
Salty Sam's Marina - located on San Carlos Island, just before you cross the bridge into Fort Myers Beach, Salty Sam's Marina offers wet storage slips for boats up to 100', and dry storage options. Here you'll find charters such as the pirate cruise and restaurants with waterfront dining.

Snook Bight Yacht Club and Marina - 70-slip marina with 200-boat dry storage. The marina is located on the Estero Bay, near Smuggler’s Cove on Fort Myers Beach. It can accommodate boats up to 50’, and offers a number of amenities.

Moss Marina - A new floating dock and fuel dock system was recently installed at Moss Marina, allowing up to 180' boats to dock. Located on the north end of Fort Myers Beach, you can see the marina to the right as you cross over the bridge.

Fort Myers
Fort Myers Yacht Basin - Protected marina in historic downtown Fort Myers, owned and operated by the City of Fort Myers. The marina is on the south side of the Caloosahatchee River, between the Caloosahatchee Bridge and the Edison Bridge. It offers live-aboard boating as well as on-site fueling and a marine hardware store.

Legacy Harbour Marina - 131-slip marina on West First Street in downtown Fort Myers. The marina is located on the Okeechobee Waterway, near Joe’s Crab Shack, just west of the Caloosahatchee Bridge. It features floating docks that accommodate boats up to 140 feet.

Prosperity Pointe Marina - located directly across the river from downtown Fort Myers on the Caloosahatchee River. The marina offers short and longterm slip rentals, live-aboard options, and dry storage in the boatyard.

Marinatown Yacht Harbour - Live-aboard marina community with 135 deep-water slips. The marina is located just west of the Caloosahatchee Bridge, across the river from downtown Fort Myers.

Port Sanibel Marina - wet slip marina with 100-boat dry storage in the Punta Rassa Cove in Fort Myers. The marina is located just before the Sanibel Causeway Bridge, just minutes from the Intercoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico. It includes three dry storage buildings, covered wet storage slips, boat, kayak and paddle board rentals, a ship store, and a mile-long nature boardwalk.

Sanibel Island
Sanibel Marina - 65-slip marina on Sanibel Island near the Sanibel Lighthouse. The marina can accommodate boats up to 70’ and welcomes transients along with short and longterm slip rentals. The marina offers boat rentals, guided fishing excursions, a fuel dock, and ship store.

Castaways Marina - Full-service marina located at the west end of Sanibel, just before passing onto Captiva Island. The marina offers boat rentals, guided tours, a marina store, along with canoe, kayak and beach equipment rentals.

Captiva Island
Jensen's Marina - Small historic marina located mid-island on the bayside. Jensen's is your home for boat rentals, fishing charters, water taxis and boat rides.

South Seas Marina - Full-service marina located at the north end of Captiva on the bay side. The marina features 2,400' of alongside berthing for boats up to 120'.

Tween Waters Marina - 41-slip marina located mid-island on the bayside. The marina offers boat and kayak rentals, wildlife tours and fishing charters.

McCarthy's Marina - Small historic marina located mid-island on the bayside. McCathy's offers transient dockage slips as well as annual slips. They also have kayak rentals, private fishing guides and a marina store.
