What We Love About SWFL

In Celebration of Valentine’s Day, we’re sharing with you what we love about Southwest Florida.

Starting with…

Sanibel Island

One of the things we love about Sanibel is the fact that it has zero traffic lights and 22 miles of bike paths! You can honestly get anywhere you need to on island by biking. In fact, the City of Sanibel encourages people to bike rather than drive to help reduce the number of cars on the road.

Fort Myers Beach

Continuing with the island theme, one of the things we love about Fort Myers Beach (Estero Island), is the downtown entertainment and night life near “Times Square.” Fort Myers Beach has a number of waterfront restaurants and bars, and even a couple of eateries that are accessible by boat.

Fort Myers

Moving inland, but not far from the water - we absolutely love the “River District” in downtown Fort Myers. Old Florida homes align the Caloosahatchee River, and a number of restaurants and museums have been restored, which create a unique “step back in time,” experience for everyone who visits.

Cape Coral

On the other side of the river, we love that Cape Coral features a number of canals making it a dream location for boat lovers. The Cape has even had its share of redevelopment, enriching the southeast and southwest corridors with premier hotels, restaurants and shopping.

Estero

The Estero Bay is certainly what we love most about the Estero area. The bay, which runs behind Estero Island and Lover’s Key offers a great place for water sports, including but not limited to kayaking, paddle boarding, jet skiing and boating. It’s a great place to take photos and get up close and personal with SWFL wildlife.

Bonita Springs

We enjoy the shaded drive along Barefoot Beach Preserve in Bonita Springs. You’ll certainly get in touch with nature as you walk along boardwalks to the white sandy beaches of the State Preserve. We love to stop and look for the infamous Gopher Tortoises that always greet the park’s beachgoers.

Naples

Last but certainly not least, we enjoy a trip to Naples every now and then to experience the rich art museums and musical performances that come to town. An evening at the Naples Philharmonic Center for Performing Arts, followed by one of Naples’ 5-star restaurants makes for a great date night or romantic getaway.
